A Little Forgetfulness

I was on a phone call with my friend, when out of the blue, she shared with me her worry about her pregnant relative’s forgetfulness.

After our conversation, I was wondering about the phenomenon of “pregnancy brain”. A little forgetfulness during pregnancy is widespread and is normal. There are so many changes in the pregnant woman’s body, including hormonal changes; plus, she experiences sleep disturbances and, perhaps, worries a lot.

“You are worried and troubled about many things, but one thing is needed . . .”

Jesus Christ, Luke 10:41

Usually, we consume fish oil supplements to support good brain health, and fish oil symbolizes the healing power of God’s Word, and our calling to keep in memory teachings of Jesus Christ, and apply them in everything we create.

I savour the teachings of Jesus,
like the leaves of a medicinal plant,
memorizing them
to heal my heart, my soul,
my mind.

What teaching should the pregnant woman keep in mind to be to God the pleasing aroma of Christ? The answer is to focus on the most precious event in her life — her new role as a MOTHER.

For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ . . . “

” . . . if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you . . .”
