Among the Voices of the Forests, Mountains, Seas, and Rivers…

“And the Lord God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Genesis 2:15 KJV.

Between the modern Babel towers, we have busied ourselves into oblivion and forgot about our friendship with God.

A Stranger

Among the voices of the forests, mountains, seas, and rivers,
a stranger heard the blast of a trumpet and recognized the call of Lord.
The stranger grabbed a hiking stick and lit his torch;
he prayed and watched, he prayed and watched
to taste the wisdom, honey-sweet.

Take a walk in the forest or along the beach and witness the power of nature—God’s gift for all humankind. Breathe in the forest’s freshness, touch seawater, enjoy the flight of a butterfly, pick your very first wild blueberry, discover a rare flower. Explore, discover, wonder.

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the skies reveal His craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
and night after night they make Him known.
They speak without a speech or language;
their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to the end of the world."
Psalm 19:1-4

Intertwine with the choir of voices outside the human habitat, away from the industrial noise. The hypnotizing innocence of the whispering tree branches, murmuring river, moaning wind, and chuckling birds unloads our overwhelmed minds and awakens an inner child in our souls; it brings a stranger closer to God and transforms the understanding of the human purpose on Earth.

The Gethsemane Garden was the place of Christ’s prayer and secret meetings with the elected disciples.
