Would You Raise Me Up?

How to break free
of my powerlessness?
The pact with the system
created by demons
fed my belly and pride
in exchange for my heart
and my mind, and my body
for the sweet Lord’s Spirit
would abandon me.

With my spine on the ground
my heart is under pressure,
I'm sharing my leftover warmth
with the first flakes of frost;
they are not easily melting anymore,
their bites are keeping me conscious.
My vision is following the clouds
but my hearing is sharp
waiting on my Saviour.

Hear my silent poem, oh Lord,
I'm seeking Your voice
to perceive my divine calling
just like I'm hearing the wind
encouraging fallen leaves
to make a marvellous flight
for Your joy and glory.
My God, if it’s Your will,
would You raise me up?

“I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you, and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed my voice. What is this you have done?“ Book of Judges 2:2

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” Jesus Christ

“And He (Jesus) said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?” Luke 9:23

And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, ‘Woman, you are freed from your disability.’ And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.” Luke 13:11-13
