Delivered!

The day I broke my pact 
with the worldly system
to restore my covenant with God
I received good news.
It was about my parcel
that for some reason
could not be delivered
but I was still postponing 
my right to claim refund.

That day my helper
surprised me with a message
that he picked up the parcel 
from the post office—
it’s been there for weeks,
therefore was ready 
to be stamped
“returned to sender”.

At first, I wondered 
I wasn’t notified before,
it’s been as if
purposefully hidden.
That minute I rejoiced
because I asked the Lord
to give me a sign
if the decision 
to resign from my employment 
was by Him supported.

And here it is!
My package! Lost and found . . .
my order,
like the answer to my prayers:
the tree seeds,
eucalyptus globulus,
as the good news of Christ
plus the gift
—the flower seeds, 
catharantus rosea,
known as bright eyes.

I praise you, my God! 
I praise you, my Lord!
